PRODUCT COORDINATOR

We are a consumer-packaged goods company located in the heart of downtown Montreal. We are currently seeking a self-motivated Product Coordinator committed with a “can do” attitude to join our team. 

Reporting to the Director of Product Management & Sr Product Manager Team, the Product Coordinator is responsible for supporting the PM’s in the product development and sourcing process from design up to product launches. An asset would be basic knowledge of Product Development cycles, understanding of the retail environment and working with overseas suppliers and support staff. However, we are willing to train those individuals who are committed to learning, who are detail oriented and know how to manage deadlines. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and manage item database

  • Coordinate and follow-up communications with factories relating to RFQs and samples

  • Prepare RFQs, send RFQs to vendors, review quote submissions for accuracy

  • Manage sample inventory and request

  • Organize data from multiple vendors

  • Assist in the collection of information required by the team

  • Compare and analyze quotations from suppliers

  • Coordinate with overseas team to ensure that the certification tests and audits are completed

  • Assist with other administration duties

  • Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure the projects are completed on time. 

  • Assist in preparation of presentations and product knowledge sheets for sales on all products and ensures that the product knowledge sheets are updated on a timely basis

  • Work with the Marketing Department to ensure that all product specifications, standards and certifications on packaging are accurate

  • Work with the Marketing Department in the development of merchandising tools, as well as the development and updates of brochures / catalogues and sell sheets

  • Maintain supplier database

  • Provide product specs and product-related data to the overseas team for pre-shipment inspection

  • Familiar with costing negotiation process

  • Experience with the stagegate / product lifecycle management process an asset 

  • Experience with Autodesk Fusion software an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree (Business or related discipline)

  • Prior experience dealing with electrical products

  • Strong communication skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Sense of urgency

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, managing several products simultaneously with minimal supervision;

  • Ability to work well in a team setting;

  • Strong command of MS Office software

  • Import experience - an asset
